20% discount on tickets on working days
Starting from 17 October 2022 to 14 April 2023, on working days, electric train tickets for a single mid-day trip can be acquired at a 20% discount, purchasing tickets both at the train ticket offices, and on “Pasažieru vilciens” homepage and mobile app, and on the train from the ticket inspector.

“Pasažieru vilciens” invites to obtain the professional qualification for driving the new electric trains in less than a year
The Centre of Adult Education of Riga State Technical School has announced admission to the professional continuing education programme “Locomotives Technician”, which is suitable both for men, and women. During this programme, over a period of eleven months, students will gain the required knowledge and skills, in order to be capable of driving the new electric trains acquired by “Pasažieru vilciens”, after obtaining the qualification. The studies will take place on weekday evenings and on Saturdays.

JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” has received Silver category award in the Sustainability Index 2022, organised by the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (InCSR). We participated in this sustainability and corporate responsibility performance rating for the first time.

Starting from March 12, citizens of Ukraine and members of their families may use all trains operated by AS “Pasažieru vilciens” and carry luggage free of charge.

The first new electric train for Latvia is presented
On 23 February, the vehicle manufacturing company “Škoda Vagonka” presented to a wider audience at the train factory in the Czech city Ostrava the new electric trains that will be delivered to Latvia already this year, ordered by JSC “Pasažieru vilciens”.

Starting from 25 January, a specific type of face masks has to be used on the train
Starting from 25 January, using of FFP2 type respirators without a valve or medical face masks is mandatory on the train.
