What is Whistleblowing and Who is a Whistleblower?

Whistleblowing allows individuals to promote legitimacy, honesty, openness, and transparency within public and private organizations by exercising the right to express their opinions freely. The Whistleblowing Law helps citizens in Latvia prevent violations and protect public interests, while also safeguarding whistleblowers from adverse consequences.

A whistleblower may be any employee of JSC "Pasažieru vilciens" or any person who has established an employment relationship with the company and provides information about a potential violation that could harm public interests, if they believe the information to be true. The purpose of reporting is to prevent cases of fraud, dishonest behavior, or violations of regulatory acts by JSC "Pasažieru vilciens."
